Halloween

This may appear as a joke, or a Halloween costume, but sadly it is neither. Well, allow me to share this event that has occurred on the 31st of October, when streets were filled with scary costumes as the majority have found the joy in being productive opposed to how they normally dress up. Usually on this day, I join the spirit of such horrifying world, and end it with a good night to remember. This year, a couple of days ago, and just like any granny, I got too lazy and decided to stay at home. But before I went to bed, I chose my quick treatments that are suitable according to my preference. I thought I better get myself ready to sleep rather than scaring people outside. Out of numerous of available options for my face, and without thinking, I quickly decided that today is best for this black mask as I have a certain pattern, and of course, this was not the first time I used this mask. Every time I did, I had no issue to the moment I took it off; everything went great, but...not this time. I kid you not, the moment I wore it, I have at least scared myself 6-7 times each time I looked at a mirror. Being in a house that has mirrors more than walls was not helpful at all! Instead of going out and actually scaring people, Halloween came all the way to my house and made me taste the fear I was missing. I swear I kept on reminding myself that my face has a black mask, but in every corner there is a mirror to also remind me of what I was missing. I wish this was a joke, or at least I was laughing at my own reactions, but constantly jumping because I forgot I looked like that was not fun. I seriously was reacting exactly like inside a haunted house. Moreover, what a coincidence to only get this scared from this mask on Halloween?! Out of all nights, it had to be this night. I thought I'd share the lesson I have learnt, which is to never be lazy on Halloween, or else you will become your own Halloween.
